Selling a car should not feel like a guess, and buying one should not feel like a gamble.
FAFO is a Lebanese vehicle marketplace built around a simple idea: the people on both sides of a car deal deserve to know who they are dealing with, what they are looking at, and what it is worth.
We do three things:
- Value your car. Answer a few questions and get an indicative market price in seconds, drawn from cars actually advertised in Lebanon. No account needed.
- Sell it. Turn that valuation straight into a listing, already filled in, and reach buyers who can see exactly what they are getting.
- Run a dealership on it. Professionals get inventory, leads and performance figures for a whole fleet, not a private seller's form repeated a hundred times.
Our mission
To make valuing, selling and buying a vehicle clearer, safer and faster — by giving every listing the context a real decision needs.
Most people meet a car marketplace with a question, not a listing: what is mine worth? Answering that honestly, before anyone is asked to sign up, is where FAFO starts. What follows — publishing the car, handling the enquiries, or managing a forecourt of them — is the same job at different scales.
We are not a dealer and we do not take a side in a sale. What we do is run the place where the two sides meet: a marketplace where listings are complete, sellers are identifiable, and the signals that usually reveal a bad deal are surfaced instead of buried.
Our vision
A vehicle market where trust is the default rather than the exception.
We want a private seller in a small town to reach the same serious buyers as a large dealership, and we want a first-time buyer to walk into a viewing with the same information an experienced trader would have. Over time, we want "check it on FAFO" to be the ordinary first step before anyone parts with money for a car.
Why we built it
Anyone who has bought a used car recognises the pattern. Adverts with three blurry photographs and no service history. A price that seems too good, and turns out to be. A seller who will not meet in person. A vehicle that looks right until a mechanic puts it on a ramp.
The information exists — it is just scattered, inconsistent, or quietly left out. Meanwhile honest sellers, who photograph the scratch and disclose the mileage, get pushed down the page by adverts that do neither.
We built FAFO because that is a fixable problem. A marketplace can insist on structure. It can make omissions visible. It can rank on relevance rather than volume. It can catch the duplicate advert and the impossible price before a buyer drives across the country to see them.
What we stand for
Transparency
We say plainly what we are and what we are not. We do not own, inspect, appraise or guarantee any vehicle on the Platform, and we are not a party to any sale. Where we show an estimated price, we say it is an estimate and how it was produced. Where a listing has been reviewed, that means it passed a policy check — not that we have put the car on a lift. Overstating what we verify would be the fastest way to lose the trust this whole marketplace depends on.
Valuations you can check
An estimate is only useful if you can see where it came from. Ours is built from comparable cars advertised in Lebanon right now, adjusted for the things an advert cannot tell us — condition, accident history, previous owners — and every figure is shown with the number of comparables behind it and how confident we are. It is an indication of market value, never an offer or a guaranteed selling price, and we say so on the result itself rather than in a footnote.
Listings worth reading
Structured makes, models and generations. Real specifications rather than free-text guesses. Photographs that load quickly and show the actual vehicle. Equipment, history and condition presented consistently, so two adverts can genuinely be compared.
Safety for buyers and sellers
Every listing is checked against our policies before it goes live, and our moderators see risk signals — duplicate adverts, prices far below the market, brand-new accounts posting in volume — ranked so the ones that most warrant a human look come first. Reporting is one click. Messaging runs through the Platform so a conversation can be reviewed if something goes wrong.
None of this removes risk, and we will never pretend otherwise. Always inspect the vehicle, verify the documents, and never send money before you do.
Private sellers and dealerships, each properly served
A private seller selling one car wants a simple, free, quick way to reach real buyers, and a clear view of who has asked about it.
A dealership managing a fleet needs something else entirely: inventory tools that handle stock in bulk, a lead pipeline, promotion controls, and analytics that show which vehicles are moving, which are stalling, and where the enquiries are actually coming from.
We build both, deliberately, rather than forcing one experience to serve both badly.
Getting better, continuously
We ship improvements constantly, and we listen. Every report of a fraudulent listing teaches us something about detection. Every question to support points at something we have not made clear. Where we get it wrong, we would rather hear it early — support@fafo-trust.com reaches a person.
How we make money
We keep this simple and stated up front: FAFO earns revenue from optional promotion and professional dealership features. We never take a commission on a private sale, we never hold funds between a buyer and a seller, and paid promotion affects only where a listing appears — never whether it was checked.
Where we are
FAFO is built for Lebanon. The cars we compare against, the prices we estimate from and the buyers we reach are Lebanese, which is what makes a valuation here worth more than a number borrowed from another market.
The Platform is built to work in more than one language, and Arabic, French and English are all first-class in search.
